River Research liked Grace so much that, now they are big enough to bring the bookkeeping and financial control in house, they said “Could we just keep Grace?”

We have come to a very amicable agreement and Grace will shortly become a member of the River Research team.

So it’s not really goodbye. Grace will still be working alongside us at CWC as we continue to provide River with management information and strategic advice.

Create Advertising Group is a leading movie, broadcast, and gaming trailer house based in Los Angeles.  CWC Resources were appointed to work alongside Create to set up their London operations.

Create LA wanted a partner with local knowledge and expertise; a partner who understood not just the UK business rules and regulations, but also the British Creative industry.

They also wanted to be able to rest assured that accounting function of their new office was set up properly and in professional, safe, expert hands.

The challenge

The Create LA team worked alongside the CWC Resources team to tackle three challenges:

• Firstly, to establish a business infrastructure from scratch.
• Secondly, to establish and manage a robust finance and accounting system
• Thirdly to translate and integrate LA working practices  into the UK work place

The solution

CWC Resources worked closely alongside the Create Advertising team in the USA.

CWC were involved in all aspects of the set up including locating premises, purchasing and installing edit bays and IT equipment, appointing accountants, legal counsel and other professional advisors and recruiting staff.

Initially the entire accounting function was outsourced to CWC. However, as the operation grew an in house bookkeeper was recruited and trained. She now works closely with the CWC team on accounting and personnel matters for the office.

CWC retain an ongoing involvement providing Financial Control and head office with timely accurate monthly Management Information.
